Is it just me or do fans of Sex and the city love the new (well not brand new, but still filming, thank goodness) canadian series “Being Erica”?
I initially thought this show wouldn’t pick up, as the first episodes dragged a bit, but it slowly developed into a show one cannot miss. Read more, but know that there may be some spoilers in the text.
Maybe it’s just me… But I feel like “Being Erica” is a good show to watch for the SATC fan. She’s 32, single (well sometimes), spent her youth doing God knows what, just landed an interesting job (where her boss mostly abuses her), and keeps on traveling to the past with the help of Dr. Tom… Last part reminding me of Quantum Leap… LOL Well, a personal quantum leap anyway. It’s a very interesting show…
She keeps on going back in time (with the help of her shrink – a guy “of many quotes” LOL), to solve things she regrets and thinks to have affected her future. After some episodes, she learns that changing the past has almost nothing to do with changing the present… And in some cases she realizes that she didn’t even want to change the past. Eventually the show grows to the part when Erica starts changing things in her life in a good way, but it’s mostly because of her present actions, instead of the ones she performs by traveling to her past and “fixing things”.
Anywho… It’s a very nice show and the actress playin Erica is delightful. As for the last episode of season 1… It’s a total bomb. Very weird and intense.
