Best dressed was Eva Longoria, by far… In fact, that’s one of the best dresses I’ve ever seen and it perfectly frames her body as well.

Worst dressed… I don’t think I can choose between Anette Bening (+ what is with the hair???) and Gabourey Sidibe.

Special award goes to Helena Bonham Carter. Her dress and shoes pick pulled many critiques, but, as with Robert Downey Jr. a while ago, it’s so kitsch that it’s actually cool (from my point of view, naturally).

p.s. I only jotted what impressed me, but there were some other pretty and ugly dresses, also, as usual, some people who can basically wear anything (because they’re too sexy for their clothes, see Heidi Klum), and so on.

Anyway, I don’t know the reasons behind kicking Mary, but I know two things:

1. Being an Elvis fan, I must say I never heard anyone but Mary to actually be able to sing an Elvis song and not make a total mess out of it (in comparison to Elvis, of course). Her voice is absolutely titanic.

2. This woman has Gloria Gaynor’s scenic presence. And she should be right up there with the greatest ladies in music history.

I heard Simon offered her a deal and I do hope it’s a good one, because I really wanna get her first cd and, for the first time in ages, I really wanna go to one of her concerts.

So hat’s off to Louis for everything he’s done with Mary and for the songs he picked…

p.s. I so wish you would stop givin’ Matt Cardle such bla songs and changin’ his voice so much. His voice was fine, it was his confidence that needed a boost.

Funnily enough, the special award I mentioned doesn’t even have anything to do with me, thank goodness. Just with the beautiful mankind and other people.  I have been sort of spared and am extremely thankful.  But I did witness a girl being attacked tonight, by some fuckers who call themselves people. I hate this computer I’m on right now. I hate everything about it, but most of all I hate the “computer says no” part.

Fuck this computer. Fuck the upgrades. And most of all fuck the ROMANIAN versions of GOOGLE and Windows LIVE. YOU PEOPLE SUCK. YOU couldn’t translate if your life depended on it. “Windows live is now making sing in.” That’s how I’d translate what you translated from English to Romanian, right back to ENGLISH. WTF. I mean, WTF. When did this all start?  When did y’all started gathering my INFORMATION. Maybe I’m a fricker who doesn’t want  her WINDOWS in ROMANIAN. MAybe I want it in CHINESE. WTF.

Anywho, I’m surely overreacting, because of this idiotic computer, nevertheless though a sincere FUCK YOU to all the things “computer says no” to. And me too. We both do.

The young’un was restless and disrupting the take off procedures so they kicked them off the plane, then the airline spokesman apologized, refunded their tickets and granted them with a 300 bucks coupon.

Story solved, you’d say, but I again cannot help but wonder… Thing is, ever since people became so, well, liberal (i.e.,  breastfeeding in public and bringing their kids to movies only to read to them out loud), everybody’s hurting.

Now I don’t have anything against mothers, babies, families, whatever… But this is just wrong. Bloody admit it. Takin’ yer bay-bee on the plane, or to a restaurant and such, and letting them cry out till all the passengers/clients kill themselves is just plain wrong. Maybe someone should invent a safe capsule to put on the baby’s head so they could talk and scream to themselves, with a pair of earphones the mother can connect to the capsule so only she can hear the bay-bee (just in case the young’un needs food or something).

Now I can’t help but think of the famous Elaine quote: “Maybe dah DINGO ate yo’ bay-bee.”

Bygone.

Just a quick memento before I go on with the beards: I need to stop trying to turn people into what they’re not.

And to go on… I wasn’t going to pursue this subject, but David Arquette managed to piss me off today so I remembered. And his beard is groomed. Which ain’t even so bad.

So I never understood why the pretty boys would hide their faces under their beards… I mean, what do you think, Ke-anu? We know you can act even without that gross beard to hide yer cuteness. Jeez… Here are some truly gorge men hiding under their beards. It’s just awful.

Needless to say I’d ban almost all beards. Maybe I’d cut some slack to the goatee and the two day beard, but that’s it.

And not to speak of other disadvantages of beards. LOL

Also right now I can only think of two beards I wouldn’t ban. But, as they say, well as I said, don’t wear roman sandals if you’re not a roman and if you don’t have a toga. Few, really few men have good beards. Here are two of them, although I hate showing you this. Notice the resemblance?

Also a special award to Tom, yet again. A beard just cannot kill him. Apparently nothing can. Bruce Willis, you can go now, Tom will save the world.

As a closing word… Needless to say I used the word “beard” one too many times in this one. However beards just ARE NOT recommended. Especially not long weird ones. Uh, hello? Also apologies for the placement of images in the page, I just don’t seem to get around the wordpress much. :-/

This… fantastic lady directed and wrote the scenarios for my top two films ever, Michael and You’ve got m@il.  Needless to say I was terribly surprised to find out they were made by the same person, as they don’t have much in common, other than the fact I’m totally in love with them. (And yes, I always used to ask “Which favourite movies? The serious ones or girly ones?” Well I’m not doing it anymore. They’re my movies and I’ll cry if I want to. LOL They’re my two favourite movies in the whole wide world, even if I can enjoy the Fight Club, adore American Beauty, and love lots of other serious thangs )

She also directed and wrote “When Harry met Sally” and “Sleepless in Seattle” and other flicks like “Hanging up” and “Lucky numbers”.  They’re not bad, not bad at all, but not in my top two.

Anywho… Nora seemed to have lost her hand a bit with the Nicole Kidman version of Bewitched. And then, after a while, she tried to come back with what you may know these days as Julie Julia.

So naturally I was dying to see it. Now I have.

It’s not the worst movie in the world and you can certainly feel Nora’s touch all over it, and Merryl Streep is fantastic, I must admit and I actually can’t stand her much. It wasn’t bad. Actually, much better than Bewitched (which was really bad), but nothing in comparison to Michael, You’ve got m@il and Sleepless in Seattle.

So a tiny letter:

Why don’t you please go back to Meg, Tom and John Travolta and see what you four can work up, because I want one last amazing romantic comedy. Pleaseeeeeeeee. Don’t know where you worked up Michael and You’ve got m@il from, but they’re STUNNING. So, please, for me…

We like protection from our men. We want to feel comfortable and safe when we’re close to them.

We like men to be able to be smooth sometimes and furious other times. Someone who’s plain smooth or plain furious is never a challenge.

We like men to look good. Now looking good doesn’t mean being a particular brand or having all yer muscles worked out at the gym. It simply means taking care of yourself, dressing like you’re going on an important thing and having a good attitude. If you know black suits you, then, by all means, wear it more often. Don’t forget to shave, or groom your beard. And when you’re done with the whole thing, walk like you’ve earned it.

We like men to be classy. And quiet. If you ain’t got much to say, or don’t speak the language well, just don’t say a thing. It’s better to look mysterious or insane than to speak out and let everyone know you’re an idiot. LOL

We like to be impressed. So if you got something you can impress someone with (not things from the circus though, lol), again, by all means, go right ahead.

We like to be one with you. So once you’ve been granted access to the personal space, don’t be afraid to get there more often. However by that we don’t mean wanting to “you know what” all the time. LOL But holding hands, cuddling and plain hugging are always good.

And to support what I’m saying, check dis out, lol.

Don’t know why, but it seems that, lately, the dudes from Yahoo speak my language.

I recently came to the conclusion that you must be satisfied with your decisions. We make them everyday. I know, I again discovered hot water, but I had to make a point on this.
Some decisions don’t matter much. We have to be careful with all the others.

I had to make a very hard decision. I won’t tell y’all what it was all about, but I’ll let you know of an analogy. It was like having a cavity which hurt and having to decide whether to go to the dentist or not (those who are scared of the dentist will know what I’m speaking of). So whichever path I took, going to the dentist or not, the pain would still have been there. If I’d go to the medic, there’d be some pain but then the situation would be somewhat solved and the pain would go away. If I wouldn’t, then God knows what lengths the pain would reach.

In this kind of situation, a somewhat normal brain would choose the optimal solution. That’s the one with most advantages and fewest risks.

That would be going to the dentist, naturally.

Now I totally hate going to the dentist and it’s a hard step. So are many decisions in life.
As I said in the beginning, I think it’s crucial you go full speed with your decision. You can take whatever time you need to make it (although that’s not always an option), but once you make it… Don’t look back. Don’t regret it.
We humans will always make mistakes. It’s part of the human condition. However, again, once you chose to go one way… Don’t look back.
My brain isn’t that normal. I don’t know to what extent it’s not normal, but I surely know about the OCD part.

See, a while ago, I had to make another troubling decision. To make another analogy… It was something like having to choose between the two main goals of your life. For a while anyway. Like not being able to work at both goals in the same time. Now that would not’ve been a problem if it wasn’t for the time question. As in… I’m not getting any younger.

Now… I had to make this decision in stressful times too. In addition, trying to work on both goals at the same time was somewhat impossible and, if tried, it could’ve brought more disadvantages than advantages.

Well my brain obviously chose the optimal decision. That being working on one goal. And the whole thing started going so well with the first goal that the second one faded a bit. But ever since making that decision, with my brain being an OCD brain, there hasn’t been a day when it didn’t spank me at least a bit for not following my second goal. Better yet, for not accepting the more risky situation instead of going for the optimal choice.

I have to agree in part. The risky situation could’ve brought many more rewards, but it was truly risky and there were other reasons too for which I chose the other option. Eventually (although, as I said, my goals are subject to time and time is short) I’ll get to fulfil my second goal too. The only condition for that is staying alive and working on the first goal fast so I start working on the second one whilst still young.
I don’t feel fulfilled. Moreover, my brain just won’t stop showing me that. I also have a problem with making decisions and taking risks. I stray a decision for as long as I can just so I don’t have to take any risks. I don’t like risks. Not one bit.

However, as I previously quoted, failure and risks are parts of success. It’s standing still that is the true failure.

Sometimes in life, you’ll have to make the worst decisions. When faced which such things, after thinking about all the options, do it fast, like pulling a band-aid from your arm and then don’t look back, don’t think about it. There surely were more options than the ones you thought of, sometimes you’ll be inexperienced, other times you won’t have the time to make the best decision. Don’t stress about it. You’re allowed to go wrong.

I am a generally happy go lucky person. Now by that I mean it’s not easy to bother me and I don’t care much about disputes. At least not these days. I don’t even care about being right.

I used to. But now I think I’ve learnt what respecting others points of view means.
Besides… As long as they don’t interfear much with my life, why would I bother?

I am somewhat glad that I’ve started to befriend my mind.

As I previously said, life is much better when you’re friends with yourself.

Whatever it is that you do, there’s nothing worse for life than your mind being your worst enemy and, therefore, working against you.

I must state again that I believe too many people don’t pay enough attention to their minds.

That is unbelieveable, considering the fact most things start with yer mind. Well mostly on a perception and awareness basis (thanks Nick).

I believe that, for the individual, there’s nothing more powerful than their mind. Both ways, good and bad.

I am an egotistical maniac. I admit it. I’m also a narcissist. I admit it.
Am I the center of the world?
I don’t think so, but I’m the center of my world for sure.
And may, on occasion, become the center of someone elses world too.

Leaving it all aside though, I am yet again glad I have befriended my mind a bit. I’m also glad I’ve tamed it and started controling it a bit. And I haven’t worked much on it. It’s rather due to the events that took place in my life over the past year.

Took two imense falls and all the other falls I took were felt more heavily than they should’ve been felt.

Anyhew… After what I’ve been through last year, there are truly few things that can really affect me right now, and I can count them on the fingers of one hand.

Also, if I was able to overcome what happened, I’m pretty sure there’s nothing, well at least not in this world, that can beat me. At least not on a psychic basis.

That being said… I suggest an interesting exercise:

Tonight, when you go to bed, or at whatever time of meditation you choose, try and meet up with yourself. That’s right. Yourself.

One time I met up with Liz, she whipped the hell out of me. We physically fought til we couldn’t breathe no more. That happened last year.

Then we had another meeting. We fought again, but ended up hugging.

Recently we had a third meet. But this time we weren’t two different forces.

I felt myself drawn to her. I looked at her in amazement, and felt really comfortable.

Even with her flaws. I loved her. Wanted to hug and hold her close to me. Spend more time with her. Feel her better and see her for real, not only with my mind’s eyes.

I wasn’t expecting that. But it wasn’t my other Liz. It was me. With flaws and qualities. And it felt truly safe and pleasant to be with me.

What does it feel like for you? If you met up with yourself… What would you say, do, understand?

I think it’s interesting. Get to know yourself, your mind.

Again… It is extremely important to know what you’re working with.
To know what you like to do, what’s easy for you to do, what you wouldn’t be caught dead doing (regardless of how easy it is for others, it’s not them, it’s you). To know how much it takes to get over something (because sometimes you just shouldn’t force yourself to move on and should allow yourself a period of grieving, understanding, relaxing etc). You also have to respect the way your body works so you can be most harmonious. To know what can get you over something and how to achieve it.

You should mostly pay real close attention to yourself as a whole.

That means your body, your mind and your heart. And when I say your heart, I mean your senses. The intimate reasoning.

Like, par example, as analogy… I’d love it if the building in front of my building would be spiral shaped. But there’s really not much I can do about that.

As analogy to the body… I’d love it if I could be made of honey par example (joking, but you’ll see the point), but that just ain’t happening. So I should work with what I got, right?
After thinking for a while, I’m under the impression that the most important things are harmony and peace. To be in harmony with yourself. So… I can only wish y’all to achieve harmony and peace.

And remember one thing… In a physical form… It is only you who’ll be with you for sure til the end. Whatever you do, feel, etc. is mostly, if not completely your choice.

As for the mind… Sometimes punishment is good. But it may not always be the right way to solve a conflict.

You should pay attention to how you feel.

There are times when I feel I need punishment and a nudge to be productive, to be in harmony. Especially when I’m lazy. But sometimes other things help more.

You’ll never have total control. We’re flesh, we die, we get sick, we get cuckoo. But it’s most important to try and be in harmony with yourself.

There’s a total difference between how pain hits you when you’re in harmony with yourself and when there’s chaos around.

Pain will find you. It’s a constant in life. You can avoid it sometimes, but not all the time.

So will happiness. One way or the other.

But being harmony is most important for a balanced life.

Now I don’t know if this text made any sense to y’all. I wrote it a while ago, and can’t be bothered to check it again. So if it doesn’t make any sense, just pull  on my sleeve and I’ll see what I can do about it.
