I really can’t describe it in words. Last time I’ve been to London I ate there and there alone. THERE REALLY IS NO OTHER PLACE.

If I were to suggest, although I don’t remember the names, I’d say… Go for the shrimp (not hot if you take off its shell), the hot noodles, the honey ribs, the duck and the sugar fried seaweed. Cool it all off with a pint of lager and, if you’re anything like me, that will feel quite close to Heaven. Might be the first time you’ll say a lil prayer in your mind when you’re done. GOD I can’t wait to get back there.

Suggestion: When ya leave, you can top it off with a Toffee Nut Latte from the Starbucks which is practically next door.

I’m officially home sick. :-/

Today I’ve sent a text to a competition. I can’t help but thinkin’ I’m not going to win it, but… I just wish someone would say it’s a good text. And nobody can read it around here, cause it’s not in English… Hey… HEYYYYYYYYY…

See I take pride in what I write, because, well not necessarily here but, mostly I try and make it perfect. I try and write it as good as I can, and modify it a thousand times, so when I read it the last time I say: This is a good text. Not excellent, because I ain’t got sufficient skills nor culture, but good. And again that’s why I once stopped writing. Because I kept on checking everything a thousand times. Anyhew (well I’ve learnt it’s anywho, but I’ll still say anyhew, so there)…

I want someone to say my text is good.

Well anyway, the prize is two tickets to London and I’m gonna find out that I didn’t win them on uhm, uhm… On the 17th of April I think. So there ya go.

I keep on struggling in a vicious cycle I allowed myself to be drawn in.  It’s been happening for ages and I know it’s in my ability to stop it, but I have somehow reached the point where I have other priorities. Which is quite awkward as my life should be my first priority.

And I so wish I could take my own advice, but hey… I just keep going. And I was 15 just yesterday. LOL Yeah. Jus’ yesterday.

And it all became so low that I just hope I’ll survive enough to quit on my addictions. How lame is that?

Whenever I have a memento set on my phone, I just hit the “ok” button and continue doing whatever it is that I’m doing.

I admire Britton. I wish my life was in such order.

I keep on making all sorts of lists and plans and then get caught in mundane activities such as eating and drinking and don’t do a thing.

I yearn for order and control, yet all I do is plan and never get to action. “A little less conversation, a little more action please” as Elvis would put it.

I’ve been planning for years. And, see… Even if I do accomplish some things, I don’t feel satisfied, nor feel like I’ve accomplished something. I’m an extremist. It’s all or nothing for me. No road in between. Although I do sometimes get caught up in some huge mind distraction which sort of numbs everything else out and when I accomplish it, I feel like the world is mine.

How strange. How lame. How me. Well I ain’t really lame. Actually I’m pretty cool, well when I’m in shape. And no, not physical shape. Just shape. But right now I’m not in shape. I’m just blabbing, obviously.

Boy, if I get those tickets to England… I dunno what I’ll do.  Would probably jump with joy.

I crave…

I crave for England, I crave for pool, I crave for sunny afternoons. I crave for quietness and… Jeez… I think that’s about it.

* Oh right… As I’m a food maniack, I thought I’d recommend y’all to try some chinese buffets in London’s China town. Now I don’t know the names of the places, but one of them is on one of the main streets surrounding China town and the other one is around the corner from the first one… The second one doesn’t look great, but they’re both absolutely fantastic!

I highly recommend the roasted sea weed (hope that’s what it’s called), the duck, the baked potatoes and the spicy wings from the one on the main street, as for the other one… The baked potatoes, the shrimp which is absolutely amazing. From both ones too I’d recommend the shrimp crackers and the sweet sour pork ribs.

I believe 2009 will be a chinese year for me as I’m plannin’ to learn secrets and cook at home.

* I totally love my Uggs. Comfiest things I’ve ever worn.

* I have lost my Elvis keychain. Have no idea when it disappeared.

* My neighbour decided to play the piano tonight… Which only brings back good memories of times long gone.  Would I wish to go back? Maybe… Make a career out of it? Definitely not. But it would be really nice to go back.

This year I can’t say I’m in a jolly good mood. I don’t have great expectations for Christmas, especially now that my dad isn’t here.

Lately everybody wants something from me, but I can’t say that I haven’t had my share of good news this year…

Last year we asked ourselves, on a lovely forum,  which were the best and worst moments of the year. I think that’s a question worth askin’ yourself.

So, as I said, I’m not expecting much for Christmas this year. But today some lovely people managed to sprinkle some Christmas cheer upon me. So I’d like to thank the great people at Starbucks. Last week they gave me an extra free drink of my choice, together with the one I bought, and today they gave me my huge favourite drink for free (that being the Christmasy Toffee Nut latte), ‘coz I’m a loyal customer (I’d like to mention that I don’t have any sort of loyalty card, they just looked at my face. LOL).

And then they handed me an espresso paper cup to write a wish upon it… I have to admit I had no idea on what to wish for this Christmas… Can’t wish for my dad to be with me… And didn’t wanna wish for love, because right now I’m not searching for it. Nor did I want to write “all I want for Christmas is you”, because, on second thought, I realized there’s nobody in particular I want this Christmas.  Then I wanted to wish for Starbuck products, but I thought that would be too bold and useless too, as I didn’t write my name on the cup, meheheh. So I wished for something about “England”, although that’s not yet possible and it should really not happen right now… It’s like being a good employee, one that couldn’t complain about much in their life, and wishing to be The Boss.

But you know what, if I dream a bit… I’d like to own a Starbucks in London. LOL First thought coming after that is… Come to think of it though, there are like 124789978 Starbucks in London, one on every corner, so hello? LOL

Anyhow, I’d really like to thank Starbucks yet again, for making it such a lovely experience for me whenever I get there. Luv ya baby!

Also today I found out a new Elvis Christmas album has been released. It’s called Elvis Presley Christmas Duets and I do believe it’s great! So that’s one of the things on my Christmas wishlist. I just wish the lovely miss Jane Monheit would’ve had a song on the album too. Her voice is absolutely gorgeous and would hug and caress Elvis’ voice in one of the best ways possible.

As we’re on the Jane Monheit subject, I’ll just say I’d really like to be like her. She’s unbelievable! The voice, the moves, the face… She’s just soooooooo great. Here’s a favourite song of mine I haven’t listened to for quite a while now. Abso-gorgeous! I love Mr. Buble too… What a pair they’d make… I’ll say! What are you people waitin’ for, now that Buble is single? Wait though, I don’t know bout Miss Monheit. Anyway… It looks like you two would go great together:

Anyhow, onward and upward… It’s been a beautiful bright day here today and when I went out I realized it will remind me of him for a long time to come. The breezes, the caressing sun, the fresh air… Yeah… Well… Tha’s that.

I had more to say, but I don’t remember anything else now, so I’ll just leave it.

Love how everyone calls you “dear, darling, sweetheart, hun, love, babe” there.

Miss the way it’s always chilly, even in the summer and the way the sun always manages to come out of the clouds, even if it’s as windy and rainy as possible outside.

I miss the stores, names coming into mind are WHS, LaSenza, Boots, Miss Selfridge, but practically any stores. Miss how you get discounts in places, when it’s not even discount season.

I miss a Starbucks on every corner… And the pubs where you can always go in for a pint.

I miss how lots of people seem to care about how you are doing, even if it might be just a façade thing. I miss how everbody’s trying to help you if you got lost, even if they have no idea what they’re talking about and aren’t locals.

I miss and love the buildings, the streets, the way everything’s marked so much that you can’t possibly get lost and it’s really hard to get abused. I miss the London tube… The way it’s impossible to get lost because of it.

I miss the chinese restaurant in Edinburgh, close to Victoria station. Can’t remember its name, but miss it nevertheless… Best chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to.

I miss how every place is crowded with cute people and how you can always find a place where everybody would welcome you in… How you can always find friends almost everywhere, as long as they’re not running around town for their jobs at that point. Although at one point I did think about making someone trip… If I were Dr. Cox I surely would’ve, but I’m not, not just yet.

What else, what else?

I miss the smell… The smell that tells you… This is the UK. It’s not Germany, nor France, not Italy, and nothing close to Romania. It is the UK.

I miss the way London welcomes me in and the way I cry when I leave it. And although I’ve mentioned this to someone before… I’m gonna say it here too… London sings to me… It sings that beautiful Elvis song… “Welcome to my world, won’t you come on in, miracles I guess still happen now and then… Step into my heart, leave your cares behind, welcome to my world, built with you in mind… Knock and the door shall be open, seek and you will find, ask and you’ll be given the key to this heart of mine… I’ll be waiting there, with my arms unfurled, waiting just for you, welcome to my world.”

I miss you, London, although you’re so big and I like small cozy things… I so, so miss you. Everytime I come back to you it feels like coming home. Hope I’ll stay for good someday, may it be soon.

And I miss you Edinburgh, with all yer lights and friendly people and your lovely center, mall and Costa café where I’ve sipped some lovely flavoured cappuccinos. I even miss your hills, although they were such a pain… And I definitely miss the great idea you had during that winter to put an amusement park in the center. How lovely is that? Had an amazing time! We just built this huge Christmas tree, out of iron and steel with crap on it, here, in Bucharest aka land where no man has gone or heard of before, aka land where great things don’t happen very often. How lame.

I also miss the UK clubs and parties and people who know how to party.

I miss my favourite snooker players… I miss Joe Swail, Mark King, Stephen Hendry… Heck, I miss them all. I miss the lovely people at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast, such quality service… I miss the pals I made somewhere on a little street in an Elvis themed pub, where I drove them all crazy by playing only Elvis on the jukebox. And I sooooooo miss Thornton’s chocolate covered strawberries I had almost everyday whilst there. Drooling. And I also miss Grandma Mema’s breakfast place (well that’s what I liked to call that little place where you can have the best breakfast in Belfast, on a wee street just behind the mall) and the Asian fastfood on the last level of the mall where I had the best ribs I’ve ever tasted.

I miss soooooooo many things about you, UK. I’ll surely be back and surely will post on this some more, because there are so many things I miss.
