And they should make a show called Dr. Cox. Even an advice show. IT WOULD BE HUGE. I just watched all of Scrubs for the second time and I think I’ll make it a third and fourth too. THERE’s no such thing as too much COX. AHahahaahahah, Dr. Cox, naturally.

In fact, he’s also today’s “Daily professional”.

In THIS super cute picture… She’s pushing into him like she never wants to break up and he’s carefully holding her like he’s trying not to “break” her in any way. That’s just totally cute. Not to speak of the matching jackets. Meow. So thumb’s up for TOMKAT !   I can feel the lurve. So if they don’t have it, they’re surely miming it in a very good way. LOL

Oh and Tom turns 48 this year. Did I mention that? And that pic was taken in February 2010. No comment.

Well anyway I kept on wondering when the new number of Scarlet would come out and checkin’ on the site and nothin’.

Last night I dreamt that it came out and today it is so. Very cool !

We like protection from our men. We want to feel comfortable and safe when we’re close to them.

We like men to be able to be smooth sometimes and furious other times. Someone who’s plain smooth or plain furious is never a challenge.

We like men to look good. Now looking good doesn’t mean being a particular brand or having all yer muscles worked out at the gym. It simply means taking care of yourself, dressing like you’re going on an important thing and having a good attitude. If you know black suits you, then, by all means, wear it more often. Don’t forget to shave, or groom your beard. And when you’re done with the whole thing, walk like you’ve earned it.

We like men to be classy. And quiet. If you ain’t got much to say, or don’t speak the language well, just don’t say a thing. It’s better to look mysterious or insane than to speak out and let everyone know you’re an idiot. LOL

We like to be impressed. So if you got something you can impress someone with (not things from the circus though, lol), again, by all means, go right ahead.

We like to be one with you. So once you’ve been granted access to the personal space, don’t be afraid to get there more often. However by that we don’t mean wanting to “you know what” all the time. LOL But holding hands, cuddling and plain hugging are always good.

Don’t know why, but it seems that, lately, the dudes from Yahoo speak my language.

It’s raining and I miss him. Haven’t missed him this bad in ages. But I’m listening to Belinda Carlisle’s – Heaven is a place on earth… And this song simply says his name, together with the rain outside. I feel like poofing myself. As in getting a magic wand and poofing all around me so I’d make myself all better and turn back time. For all the love, the aromas, the gorgeous rainy mornings, the feeling of greatness. For the dream, for that perfect moment that I totally screwed up. And I’m biting my lip thinking all that greatness must be stashed somewhere inside of me. In one little place. A place that will never be open for visits again. Not necessarily because I don’t want to, but because finding what I found then… Well that’s very hard and highly unlikely. Looking left, looking right. Freezing. Freeze. Right there. Don’t move one muscle. Can you feel it all over again? That precious moment when you were… in love?

Right now I’d give pretty much anything to turn back time. Actually this has been going on for over a year. For different reasons, but even so, in the past two years, there’ve been only two reasons (which I won’t mention right now) for which I wanted to turn back time.  I never wanted to turn back time before.

I miss him. I really do. With all his greatness, energy, goodness and every part of him.

But I miss him in a very good way. It almost doesn’t hurt.  It’s like remembering the most beautiful thing from the past. You’re a bit sad that it’s not here anymore, but nevertheless happy that you had a chance at experiencing something so great. Someone so great.

And it all started with someone at the supermarket who smelled of two days  old musk oil (left open). Funny how one scent can bring back so many memories. And even funnier that I’ve never used that scent with him, nor did he smell like that. But the scent brought back thoughts of misty rainy mornings. One thing led to another and here I am yet again.

And yeah… That’s about it. Sorry for posting once every blue moon. Also if you feel like listening the two songs reminding me of him, they can be found here.

What else? Nothing. I just wish I could carve this feeling into my heart, even if it would hurt having it all the time yet lacking his presence.

And a white rose bouquet… For him. For all the moments he made me feel like Heaven was a place on earth. For all the beautiful things he showed me. For all the times I felt my heart found perfection. For all the beautiful memories. For him never ceasing to amaze me. For him being a prince. For the undying hope for goodness he seeded in my heart. For him granting me the shot at knowing such goodness exists. For all those things and so much more… I love you. In the purest way ever.

Putting away what everybody hears/heard on the news…  I got shivers down my spine. I really wasn’t expecting this, believe it or not. Was actually hoping to see one of his final concerts somehow.

Regardless of his stormy life, what we liked, what we didn’t, what we oo-ed or ew-ed in front of, today the world has lost one of its greatest icons.

I still can’t believe it and can’t believe what the news are saying either.

What can be said? Regardless of anything else… One way or the other, he will be missed and his work  always remembered. There’s no way you’d be indifferent to Michael Jackson. You’d love him or hate him, but somewhere, inside of you, there has always been an attraction to him somehow.

But there’s this one song… One song that will be with me forever. Well apart from other songs I sometimes hear in the morning, just when I wake up, according to what feeling I have in my heart and what thoughts I got in my mind at that time.

So this one song… I’ve mentioned it before… It’s “Your love’s been a long time coming”.

It’s so warm. Whenever I listen to it, it just wraps me up in his manly voice. Like a gorgeous shadow from the past. Yet it’s always so present.
Shadows of warm mornings spent in bed. Of beautiful hugs. A feeling of goodness… A sweetness that embraces you. A love that’s been looking for you and only you for a very long time. A nest that’s been waiting for you, regardless of how good or bad you were until then.

And Elvis insists on it. Baby your love… Baby your love… Baby… I said baby…
I could listen to this song forever, and never need something else.

Such perfection in just a song. One song. The song of my life. When I was asked to pick my favourite song out of Elvis’ repertoire, I said that’s not possible. So many jewels. How could I pick just one? But this one is it.

I hear the words as they are, and they do mean a lot to me, but it’s so much more than that. I just… Just… I get wrapped in his voice and the feeling that he so well put in so many of his songs. You can feel the warmth in his voice. The morning. The sweetness. The hug. I will never ever forget them. With all of my heart, for ever.

And I know everything’s relative. And an emotion can change in a second. But this feeling. This “baby your love” feeling. Whether it’ll ever change or not, it’ll never fail to embrace me.

Actually… Come to think of it, 1969 was an amazing year. No wonder Bryan Adams sang of it.

Elvis changed his tone. It became even manlier, held more sorrow, more wisdom, more bewildering sweetness. It held the wisdom of the ages. And come to think of it… Two of my favourite snooker players were born in 1969. Stephen Hendry and Joe Swail.

People have been saying my favourite year from Elvis was 1969. But I’m in love with many of the songs he’s been singin’ in 1969 and in the 70’s. Many jewels in that time. Including the one I’ve been speaking of, “your love’s been a long time coming”, and others such as: Heart of Rome, For the good times, Any day now, Only the strong survive, I’ll hold you in my heart, After loving you, True love travels on a gravel road, the gorgeous Sweet Caroline, I’ll be there, This is the story, Stranger in the crowd, And the grass won’t pay no mind, Mary in the morning, The next step is love, Do you know who I am, Just pretend, Welcome to my world, Pieces of my mind, Solitaire, You gave me a mountain, The last farewell, I’ll never know… And so many others…

If I were to pick my top five Elvis songs, although it’s really hard to do… I’d say:

I shouldn’t have done that. I always believed it to be inappropriate. Making an Elvis top 5. I loved everything about him. And cared about 90% of his songs. And there are so many I totally love that it seems just wrong to pick just five. I love all of the songs I’ve mentioned up there.

To conclude… The king will always hold a very, very, very, very big and special place in my heart. Thank you for all the kindness, you angel you.

A few days ago I couldn’t help but hear Vonda Shepard’s – Read your mind. In my mind, of course. But I ain’t gonna post it as song of the day… As I just heard a few lyrics, such as: “If I could read your mind, I hope I’d find, say the love I have in mine. If I could go back in time, I’d try to find you and make up for all this waste of time. [...] But am I really free?”

You know what one of the worst things is?  Knowing that you’ve hurt someone you care about. That’s one ****** up thing of the whole human/words/actions/relationships experience.  And, you might believe it’s egotistical (as in you don’t wanna lose them) but it’s not. It’s just about not wanting to hurt them.

I mean… How on earth could you possibly ever want to hurt someone you care about? You’d never do it on purpose. So when you do it, and you somehow learn that you ****** up (because, obviously, as it’s unintentional, you don’t know it as you do it) it feels like you’re a bad person. Like you’re unworthy of the friendship. And that’s one crappy feeling for sure.  You can’t help but wonder… If you can hurt someone you care about, what chance do people you don’t give a rat’s arse about have? LOL Actually, come to think about it, they might have a better one than the others. Hm… ****** up, I’ll tell ya.

It shadows you as a person, because you feel that if you can hurt someone,  even when you care about them, then maybe your whole process of thinking is wrong.

For the past week I’ve been  down. And it all culminated with a cold that kept me doped (without drugs lol) for a few days. And no, it’s not the swine flu, for all who may wonder , been to the doc’s. It’s just an alergic thing.

But now I’m feeling better. My beautiful friends at Starbucks granted me with some more freebies. Lurve you guys! That Columbia coffee tastes mighty  fine. And in other troubled areas, there might just be a way out… Which is great. Good news. But I’ll have to work on it. However I’m not the kind who’ll say pass to work. Not when I care about something.

I’d say more… Oh… Wait… Last night, as I was down with the cold, I saw two movies and said pass to one. Saw “Tropic thunder” and “Beverly Hills Chihuahua”.

Now Tropic Thunder ain’t as good as they claim it to be. Actually it’s quite boring. But, as one critic would put it, it was hard not to get everyone to laugh, considering the multitude of jokes per minute. So I did laugh. Pretty much. On three different scenes. And Robert Downey Jr. does a very interesting job too. Hugzie Not a must watch though.

As for the Beverly Hills Chihuahua… That’s one pretty cool movie. It is, of course, easy, but nevertheless good for its genre. I especially appreciated the voices of Andy Garcia, as Delgado (one mighty fine german shepherd if you’ll ask me), and of Placido Domingo as Monte. However I didn’t recognize Garcia’s voice, because it’s somewhat harsher… And I think they should’ve used Placido’s voice more. Nevertheless… If only for Garcia and Placido’s voices and presences and for the cute animal action… The movie is cool. I’d recommend it. Especially if you like movies like that (Chipmunks and such).

One film I did say pass to though was The tale of Despereaux. I thought it to be something like Ratatouille (which was quite delicious), but it’s not. I don’t know what this 3d art (or whatever art is used in this flick, as I’m not sure it’s 3d) is all about, but I don’t like it. At least not in this case. And I pretty much didn’t enjoy it in Bolt either. So after the first few scenes… I said pass.

Tomorrow I’m gonna see Tom Hanks in Angels and Demons. I hope it’s good… Anyhew, you gotta love the Hanks. And I can’t wait to see Keanu Reeves in a new flick. Simply love the dude. The blockbuster master. And I’d pretty much enjoy seeing Tom Cruise in a new flick too. Not like the crap political one he’s done last aka Lions and Lambs. I’d love to see Keanu and Tom in new action or romance flicks. I think they suit them best. Blockbuster masterrrrrrrrrrs.  Oh and btw, I think it’s time they did a flick together. Certified………………………………………

And thank GOD  Swing Chicago is on, although my crappy internet connection makes it pause often (GOD I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT). But I am glad as I haven’t caught it on in a long time, although it’s supposed to be always on… Anyhew… How can you not love swing music? I COULD JUST MELT IN IT. It’s so meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Boy it must’ve been a blast to be living in those days. Lalalala la la la la la la.
